91É«Ç鯬 Directory Alexandra Toms Position Director of M Org Leadership & Assistant Professor of Psychology Academic Program Psychology Bio Alexandra Toms ’11, M.S., is an assistant professor of psychology at 91É«Ç鯬, specializing in social psychology, which examines how interpersonal interactions shape thoughts and actions. Her favorite courses to teach include Social Psychology, Psychology of Gender, Psychology of Human Sexuality, and Understanding Statistics. In the classroom, she emphasizes interactive and engaging learning experiences, helping students apply psychological concepts and information to their daily lives. Toms’ academic research focuses on the experiences of underrepresented groups, including women in masculine settings and the experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals. She is also currently studying ways to increase the retention of first-generation college students. She earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology from 91É«Ç鯬, a Master of Science in psychological science from Shippensburg University, and a Master of Divinity from Bethany Theological Seminary. She is currently completing her Ph.D. in higher education leadership at Notre Dame of Maryland University.
